Custom tile work
Patterns, borders, feature areas and wall tile, laid out for your room in homes across Southwest Florida.

Beyond a straight grid
Custom tile covers anything that needs more than a standard layout: herringbone and chevron floors, basketweave, borders and inlays, feature areas in an entry or under a dining table, and mixed tile sizes.
It also includes wall and backsplash tile, where layout decides how the tile meets cabinets, outlets, windows and countertops.
Laid out before it's set
Patterns are dry-laid or marked out before any tile is set, so you can see where the lines fall, how the pattern meets doorways and where cuts will land. Changes are easy at that stage and hard afterwards.
Pattern work uses more material and takes longer than a straight lay. You can compare patterns and see how much extra each needs with the layout tool on the home page.

Custom tile work questions
Call 239-710-2315 for anything specific to your home.
How much extra tile does herringbone need?
Plan on about 15% or more extra for herringbone and chevron, compared with about 10% for a straight lay, because every row ends in cuts. The exact number depends on the room shape.
Does custom tile cost more?
Usually, because pattern layouts take more time and more material. The difference depends on the pattern, the tile size and the room.
Can you install a backsplash only?
Call to discuss your project. Backsplash and wall tile are part of the custom tile work offered.
